2016 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

2016 St. Patrick’s Dinner

Thank you to all who helped make the St. Patrick’s Dinner a success.  A special thanks to all who helped with the dinner set-up / clean-up efforts, bought / sold tickets, and donated to the raffles.  The event was a success because so many of Knights and other volunteers shared their time and talents.

At the end of the day:

Over 220 attended the dinner

$1,000 was raised by the Members’ raffle for youth and vocations

$2,000 was raised by the dinner and raffles

2015 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

Thank you to all who helped make the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner a success. A

special thanks to all who helped with the dinner set-up / clean-up efforts,

bought / sold tickets, and donated to the raffles. The event was a success

because so many of Knights and other volunteers shared their time and talents.

At the end of the day:

Over 230 attended the dinner

$1,375 was raised by the Vocations Scholarship support raffle

$2,440 was raised by the dinner and raffles

2014 Breakfast with Santa Highlights

Santa’s last stop before Christmas

Thank you to all who assisted in the breakfast.

The council raised over $500 from this event.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner and More

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

5:00 PM Saturday March 8, 2014

St. Paul School Gym

Tickets are $12.00 per adult

$8.00 ages 10 and under

Children under 5 are Free

Reserved seating available on request, and Meals To-Go can be ordered in advance

Traditional menu including: Ham, Corned Beef, Ziti, Cabbage, Red Potatoes, Carrots, Salad, bread, deserts, and of course, beer.

Irish Step Dancers are scheduled to perform

Bring your family, and friends.  The proceeds will help fund the Council’s $10,000 commitment to the St. Paul Capital Campaign.

Event Updates

HELP NEEDED!:

March 8 St Patrick’s Day Dinner – 5:30 PM St Paul School Gym

Proceeds to be used toward the Council’s commitment to the St Paul Church Capital Campaign.  Please plan to attend the dinner!

Volunteers needed to plan, advertise, sell tickets, set up, clean up, and work the event.  Please get involved!  Call Ray Kalentkowski @ 860-828-8248 or Terry Lescoe @ 860-828-9285.

Raffle prizes and desserts are also needed

 

Scholarships:

Alfred E. Greco Scholarship Memorial Scholarship:  $400

Any high school graduating senior who is the son, daughter, or grandchild of a council member in good standing is eligible.  Call Terry Lescoe (860) 828-9285 for an application.  (Due: April 30, 2014).

Monsignor Greylish Ecumenical Scholarship – 2 for $500 each

Any Berlin resident graduating high school this year is eligible.  Contact Terry Lescoe (860) 828-9285 for an application. (Due: April 30, 2013)

Recent Event Highlights:

Vets Drive – $2,500 worth of clothing, toiletries, blankets, and stationary products were collected for the veterans at the Rocky Hill Veterans Home and Hospital.  The council received a note of gratitude from the Veterans.

Coat Drive – Approximately 450 new and used coats and children clothing was collected.  The clothing was gratefully received by the needy in New Haven.

Breakfast with Santa – Thanks to our members, their families, friends, the Ladies Guild and the confirmation students, Breakfast with Santa was fully staffed and a success.  Over $350 was raised for charity.  Without the help provided, this event would not have gone as smoothly as it did.  Special thanks to Florence Gontarz (the cookie lady).

Council Names Local Free Throw Winners

The council winners were Matthew Lanteri, McKenzie Kane, Tavian Montanez, Kalyssa Muniz, Lily Sokolowski, Lindsey O’Bright, and Kirsten Armetta. They will all compete next in the district competition.

A special thanks to last year’s State Council winner, Emma Sukolowski, who assisted with this year’s event.
