History and Membership

The Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 at St Mary Church in New Haven through the efforts of Blessed Michael McGivney who fulfilled a need to protect widows and orphans of Catholic Men and to promote Catholic Faith and values. This was at a time when there was no other social or financial safety net and Catholics were discriminated against in many ways. Blessed Michael McGivney established the Knights of Columbus as an organization dedicated to the precepts of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The Knights of Columbus now has nearly 2 million members worldwide

The Monsignor Greylish Council #3675 was Chartered in 1953 at St Paul Parish Kensington, Connecticut. There are currently 124 Brother Knight Members of Council 3675.
